Leak under kitchen
There had been an ongoing leak from this flat into the flat below but nobody had been able to find it. It was narrowed down to being from the kitchen. The flat had tenants living there so we had to work around them and leave them with partial use of the kitchen, the landlord also wanted us to try and save the kitchen as it was due a full refit at the end of the tenancy. We had to chase out the concrete floor to expose the pipes, taking great care not to rupture them and cause more leaks. Another challenging job but a great result at the end.
Somewhere under all this is a leak into the flat below 
Start dismantling but got to save the kitchen and tenants are still living here 
Original steel pipes buried under the floor, very corroded 
Start tracing them back, careful not to puncture them 
Found extent of leaking but whole pipe corroded, no point trying to join it 
Exposed all the way back to the communal feed 
New pipe replaced & lagged 
New floor and kitchen refitted. Happy landlord & happy downstairs.
